what a beautiful color. :) it seems like maroon, but at the same time it looks like it has a splash of purple in there. very rich and intense. reminds me of red wine. :)

thanks for posting the song! it's great! there's something about singers and performers back in those days- talent, perhaps?- that makes for some great entertainment. :P the palette is great too! i'm loving those oranges! as warm and inviting as nat king cole's voice. and the purple? just really smooth.

that bright blue and those yellows look incredible together. :D nice touch with the beige/khaki color. it does exactly what it says: it neutralizes the upbeat, bright tone of the first three colors. a bit of an abrupt transition. you know when you're having a great day, then suddenly, for some reason, it all goes to crap? this is what this palette reminds me of. fantastic. :)

i find the title of this palette and the colors you selected particularly interesting. these hues remind me of a sepia toned portrait of John D. Rockefeller, who was a great philanthropist. It's as if that same portrait had transmuted into this pattern. humble and sudbued. very nice :)
