Lover Bio

Guess it's time to divulge a bit of info since it seems I'm really starting to LOVE this colorful place. People ask about my name (a lot):

The Girlfriend Factory

Long, long ago, in a land far, far away lived a woman who wrote poetry to purge herself of inner demons. She wrote and wrote and wrote and eventually joined a website and posted what she wrote and wrote and wrote. This made the woman very happy.

One day, on said website, she met a prince, err, rather, a hero who promised her many things. He was handsome, brave and strong (so she thought) and soon she fell deeply in love. She, Fishy, her darling son, and the aforementioned hero made plans to become a family and live in the hero's castle on the coast.

Upon visiting said hero in said castle for a few weeks the woman returned home, knowing that she would never again see said hero (obviously something was amiss, but details are unimportant here). To say she was distraught was a huge understatement. After that, it seemed the poetry she once wrote was trapped inside and wouldn't budge, so she abandoned the website.

After Stumbling around The Internet for a few years, she eventually returned to the website. Still finding it difficult to write, she turned to other creative outlets. She began using images, photos, etc, to make small items for members to use in their signatures. She grew to love this as much as she loved writing.

One day, after realizing she had no artistic talent away from the computer, other than drawing stick people, she thought to herself, "That's it! I'll make stick people!" She created some rough images of stick girls that would eventually be known as "Girlfriends." But she needed a place to sell these stick girls and a name to operate under.

A good friend offered up the name The Girlfriend Factory. Well, it stuck like glue! The woman loved art so much, that she eventually left the writing website and opened up The Girlfriend Factory. The art you will find at The Girlfriend Factory is simple, sometimes child-like, but it makes the woman happy (as happy as she will allow herself to be anyway) and that is, after all, what matters.

The End.

I hope this satisfies the question about the name and hope you will stop by and visit. You can also visit my newest adventure The Jumble Factory, if you have time.

Thank you for visiting and let me know if you like what you see. ~*~Ren

UPDATE SEPT 2009: I have, once again, returned to college in an effort to complete my degree, so like the summer, I won't be around much. Please note me if you need me for anything.
