I'm trying to remake this palette: http://www.colourlovers.com/palette/89711/Incense and I just can't. It comes up blank all the time. I can see some blank palettes among the new ones too.

I use FF 2.0.0.5 on XP Home SP2.

Mac OSX and Firefox 1.5.0.12 - works great.

XpSp2 + Firefox 2.0.0.5

Windows XP, Firefox 2.0.0.6

i'm wondering why sometimes when i click on a palette badge it takes me to that palette, and sometimes when i click it does absolutely nothing. what and when is the difference? i like when it takes me to the palette so i can vote on it. when it doesn't i have to go to palette search, remember the exact name, put it in the search, wait for the page to load,...

Liz, that is because people only posted the image and not the whole code for the badges.

The 'Join This Group' button is missing so long as I'm logged in. I've tried cache clearing, quitting, restarting.

It's a no-go for either Safari or Firefox, latest versions of both.

When I submit a new palette, I get a titled palette page for it, but the palette itself is blank or has the 'this palette has been eaten by a palette monster' message. Trying to edit the palette and add colours to to it that way has the same results. :(

The same thing has been happening to me. A blank page comes up after I submit something.

The forums link at the bottom (More Discussions) is broken. It links to a nonexistant http://www.colourlovers.com/forum.

What happened to my palette??? You would think the Loch Ness Monster would be able to defend itself from a little palette-eater....?
How do I get my palette back? It was one of my favorites and I don't know how to re-create it.

This won't stop the palette monster, but as long as it's lurking about here's what I've started doing to avoid losing palettes.
After I've finished entering my colors, color names, inspiration, etc., I hit the 'Print Screen' key on my keyboard & paste it into my graphics program. Then I click the Add Palette button. If the monster decides to dine on my creation, I have all my colors & info and can quickly recreate it.

Hi - you asked how to add palettes etc into a group? You can find information on how to do this at the Sharing the love group - for this question, try the conversation about groups.

In short:
How do I add a palette or color to a group?

You can only add a palette or color to a group you are a member of. Adding happens from the palette or color's page, not from the group's page. You can only add your own palettes or colors to a group. You cannot add other people's work.

Go to the palette or color's page.
Click on the "Edit" button you fill find on the top right of the page. You will only see this button if the palette or color is created by you and you are logged in.
Near the bottom of the page, you will see a heading "Add to my groups" with a list of all the groups you belong to. If you dont see anything listed here, you need to join some groups! Check the groups you wish to add the palette or color to. A palette or color can be added to more than one group.

I noticed this a day ago and then again today the same problem occurred -

When I try to edit a particular pattern the base pattern choices show up as "No Results".

Say for example originally my pattern was a Bloodline and then when i go to edit and click on "Floral" it shows no patterns there instead it shows "No Results" and its the same for the rest of the pattern categories. This is happening with all of my patterns not just one... Is this perhaps a new feature CL introduced that is - once you've made a pattern you can't change the base pattern?

System specs - Windows XP, FF 3.0

Hi, C! I think once you've posted a pattern, the pattern is set in stone. And I think I know why: Supposed somebody faved that pattern, or wanted to paste it on his/her profile, or into a comment, or ... . If you could change the pattern, you would be changing the faver/profiler/commentator's implied taste -- that person might not like the new pattern at all!

If you make a palette of the colors, though, you can keep using those colors as a starting point for loads of different patterns.

What you say about changing patterns is quite true and I've wondered about it myself some times. But if that were the case then perhaps there should not be an option to change the base pattern at all and just have the option to change/play with the colors of a pattern...

Well, this problem didn't happen until a week ago i was able to change my patterns. If there was a pattern that i didn't really like and hadn't been faved/commented by anyone i went ahead and made changes. But that was also what i wanted to know - Is it happening for everyone? Is this a new feature that CL added recently or am I the only one that's experiencing this anomaly...?

I have a ? , how do we upload a pattern so we can use it for our palette ? it would seem more authentic if I could use a pattern I have designed :)

@FlatLine, a couple of ways:

-- Go to COPASO. On the left side, there is an area where you can display .jpg files from your computer. Click on Attach New and you can browse your computer til you find the pattern that you want.

-- If you have a place on the web to store info (flickr, maybe, or your own website, or ...). Upload your pattern as a .jpg. The go to PHOTOCOPA, click Photos and enter the http address of your file.
